Ian Alexander Thai Boxing Association Fight

July 15, 2008 Ian trained very hard to prepare for his fights and showed excellent Muay Thai skills, while finishing in second place with a controversial final match. In Mr. Alexander’s first fight, he showed dominance and great technical skill while out classing his opponent. He knocked down his adversary several times during the fight, winning a dominant 30-24 unanimous decision. Ian recovered well and was ready for his next match with an opponent far more talented than the first. Alexander’s undefeated counterpart, who competes in both MMA and Thai boxing, proved to be a very game opponent due to his explosiveness and resolve. Both Thai Boxers landed hard shots; however, in the end the judges saw it as a split decision in the other fighters favor.

Although some thought the decision should have gone to Mr. Alexander, the fight was close enough to go either way. One can learn an important lesson from this kind of fight; a loss is not always a bad thing. Constant success and fulfillment do not inspire introspection. Hopefully the close loss has further motivated Mr. Alexander to continue to push himself to his mental and physical limits. It is our hope that Ian will continue to improve, and eventually find himself as a top contender in the pro Thai boxing circuit.
