Volunteer Program

We often receive requests from students and parents alike, to get more involved with the LINXX team. Over the years, we have had hundreds of volunteers offer their time and talents to support the Academy and our mission. In return, these volunteers have the opportunity to learn and have fun sharing their enthusiasm for martial arts with others.

We’re excited to announce our newly organized LINXX Academy Volunteer Program. Our goal was to standardize the volunteer program, and create additional opportunities for those who want to become more involved with the LINXX team. New volunteer positions include:

• Instructor Assistant          • Special Event Assistant
• Administrative Aide          • After-school Program Mentor
• Summer Camp Assistant   • Writing/Editing Assistant

Whether you are a student, a working professional, or a stay-at-home mom, volunteering is an excellent way to gain work experience and/or broaden your social network. For example, as a volunteer assistant instructor or teacher’s assistant, you’ll gain a greater sense of pride and identity. Volunteering also helps you gain experience and practice important skills used in the workplace, such as public speaking, teamwork, communication, problem solving, project planning, and organization. For those students preparing for college, volunteer work helps differentiate you from other applicants and demonstrates your commitment to making your community a better place to live. Many adults find it a relaxing, energizing escape from their day-to-day routines. Volunteering also provides you with renewed creativity, motivation, and vision that can carry over into your personal and professional life.

If you are interested in learning more about our volunteer program, please contact a member of our staff or download an application from our website. We will accept applications throughout the year and review them on a continual basis. As volunteer requirements arise, we will review our applications and select those with the requisite aptitudes, abilities, and skill sets to participate in a group interview.

Volunteers who are accepted into the program will then be required to complete a job-specific initial training program. Volunteers may be categorized as either active or reserve depending on the volunteer position and the level of participation needed. Reserve volunteers also must complete the same initial training but will be contacted on an as-needed basis.
