After-School Enrichment Program

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The LINXX Academy of Martial Arts’ After-School Enrichment Program, which is open to both current students and nonmembers, will provide meaningful educational enrichment opportunities for children ages six and older. Children will have the opportunity work on their homework assignments with a fully licensed and certified teacher. Individual tutoring also will be available on a case-by-case basis. Children also will be able to participate in structured martial arts classes and other recreational activities, which are designed to improve physical fitness, increase confidence, and build character. In fact, each child will be eligible to achieve rank in our renowned program!

LOCATION

Our After-School Enrichment Program is being offered at both our Kempsville and Red Mill locations. Each facility has a fully functional classroom with individual computer work stations, network printers, large-screen televisions, and game stations. These classrooms are separate from our fully matted training areas. This will allow students to focus on their homework without being distracted by those who are participating in structured martial arts classes, or just burning off excess energy during their free recreation time.

CLASS SIZE LIMITATION

Space is limited to just 12 participants per location. This small class size will ensure that all students, rotating through the in-classroom study, formal martial arts classes, and free recreation segments of the program, will receive individualized attention and constant supervision in the safest, most effective environment.

PROGRAM HOURS

School Dismissal–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday (September 4, 2012–June 14, 2013)

TRANSPORTATION

We will provide safe, complementary transportation from the students’ schools to our facilities in our new Ford 350 Turtle Top passenger vans, which meet all childcare bus standards! We also can provide transportation home for a nominal fee.

NUTRITION

We will provide all students with complementary nutritional snacks and refreshments daily.
